Definition: What is a packaging machine?
A packaging machine is a complex of mechanical devices and components whose functions are designed to package products for subsequent transport and sale. They specialise in automating the packaging process, making it easier, faster and increasing the volume of packaged products. Such machines are capable of performing both primary and group packaging for a variety of products.
The packaging process is a complex operation in which items are prepared, stacked and then transported for storage. Warranty period packaging machines
The legal position of the customer is always upgraded thanks to the warranty.
In Germany, the legislator stipulates a warranty that differs from a guarantee period. The packaging machine manufacturer must then guarantee that the machine will be free of defects for two years from the date of sale. The seller may not exclude the warranty in the contract without further ado.
A warranty period, on the other hand, represents an additional and voluntary promise of durability or functionality made by the supplier or manufacturer. In the packaging industry, suppliers usually specify a warranty period of between 12-24 months. However, this does not replace the warranty, but extends or supplements it.
With a warranty period of one year, the customer gets additional rights of claim against the seller and can always choose between warranty and claiming the warranty.
Caution: The warranty does not cover defects that are due to normal wear and tear or that have arisen as a result of improper use or failure to observe the instructions for use. As a rule, the warranty expires as soon as the customer makes modifications or independent repairs to the product without the manufacturer’s consent.
